We live, work, and play in an extraordinary environment and a unique community. With that privilege comes a responsibility to provide strong foundations for generations to come. We are committed to supporting the youth of our community to ensure a sustainable, collaborative, vibrant, and hopeful future.
We will create opportunities to inspire their love for the mountains and respect for the environment. We will advance their prosperity by providing career opportunities through education, training, and mentorship. And we will support programming that emphasizes community connections with positive impacts to their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Our youth are our future. Our pledge is to both.

Matt was born and raised in Taos, NM in Los Cordovas. He graduated from Taos High School, then relocated to South Dakota to swim for the University of South Dakota Coyotes, while earning a B.S in Earth and Environmental Sciences. Matt spent a few years in California working, then moved to Colorado to work for a municipal utility on energy efficiency and water conservation projects, and working to build out renewable energy projects for local businesses. He then moved back to Taos with his wife and two dogs to be closer to family and community. Growing up along the banks of the Rio Pueblo, skiing at Taos Ski Valley, and spending as much time as possible in the natural landscapes of Northern New Mexico is what makes the work that he does as Taos Ski Valley’s Sustainability Manager a personal mission to create a more sustainable future for the resort and its surrounding communities.
